Since mid 1998 regular
visitors to the channel have estimated that around 100 different IRC users
have visited the Channel. The #Cars channel is owned by Degga who decided
to create it to keep the "car talk" out of #brisbane.
The #Cars channel
is a meeting point for motor-heads and it is quite common to find several
people arguing their case as to which car is best between themselves. From
observations of the channel, it can be seen that their is a great variety
of backgrounds that people bring to the channel, some interesting, some
not so interesting, and this has led to a few laughs by all.
Although the #Cars
channel is open to any car lover, it is quite common to find that in this
channel, the majority of visitors prefer 4 and 6 cylinder engines. (That
is not to say that there aren't a number of Rotary and V8 fans out there!)
Users are encouraged
to use this channel in order to gain information. Talk about what works
in regards to modifications and spread your knowledge around.
